There are two ways to add recipients when you issue a credential:
Manually: best for a small number of people. Enter each recipient's details by hand, or pick from recipients you have issued to before.
From a spreadsheet: best for larger groups. Upload a file with all your recipients at once. There is no limit on how many you can issue in one go.
Issue credentials from a spreadsheet
Open the credential you want to issue, and choose to issue it.
In the recipients section, choose the option to import from a spreadsheet.
Download the sample file that matches your recipients. There are templates for individuals (basic or complete details) and for organisations.
Fill in the template and upload it. XLS, XLSX and CSV files are accepted.
Match your spreadsheet's columns to the fields Certify expects, such as name and email address.
Review the imported list, correct anything flagged, and finish.
Before you upload
Check that names are spelled as recipients want them to appear.
Use one email address per person. The same person at two addresses gets two separate credentials and counts as two recipients.
For most adult learners, a personal email address is better than a work one, because work addresses stop working when people change jobs.
For a fuller list, see Before you issue: a quick checklist.
Want issuing to happen automatically?
On the Advanced and Premium plans, you can issue credentials automatically from your LMS or other systems, or through the API. See Ways to connect Certify to your other systems.
