Issue credentials from LearnWorlds with Zapier

Use the ready-made Zapier template to issue a Certify badge or certificate when a learner completes a LearnWorlds course.

Last updated 18 October 2026

When a learner completes a course in LearnWorlds, Certify can issue their badge or certificate automatically, using a ready-made template on Zapier. It needs no code.

You need a Certify Advanced or Premium plan with your credential set up, a Zapier account and admin access to your LearnWorlds school. The free Zapier plan runs this template.

Set it up

  1. Open the template Issue Certify credentials for new LearnWorlds course completions on Zapier, choose Try it and sign in.
  2. Connect your LearnWorlds school.
  3. Connect Certify with an access token from Settings > API in Certify. Issue credentials automatically with Zapier shows how.
  4. In Issue Credential, choose the credential for the course and check the fields below.
  5. Test with a test learner or yourself, then publish the Zap.

Fields to map

| Certify field | From LearnWorlds | |---|---| | Recipient Email | The learner's email | | Full Name, or First Name and Last Name | The learner's name, in whichever form LearnWorlds sends it | | Completion Date | The date the course was completed |

Good to know

  • Other triggers. LearnWorlds also has Assessment Completed (choose the assessment, and add a Filter on the result so only a pass issues the badge) and New Certificate, which fires when a learner is awarded a LearnWorlds certificate. Pick one trigger per credential to keep your Zaps easy to follow.
  • Several courses? Each Zap issues one credential. Create one Zap per course, or use Zapier's paths to choose the credential by course name (a paid Zapier plan).
  • Name changes. A second Zap with LearnWorlds's User Updated trigger and Certify's Update Recipient action keeps a learner's name up to date on every credential they hold.

For every Certify field, duplicates, expiry dates and troubleshooting, see Issue credentials automatically with Zapier.
