Setting up your issuer account: a checklist

Seven steps to set up your issuer account so your credentials look trustworthy from day one.

Your issuer account is how recipients, employers and anyone checking a credential see your organisation. Work through this list once when you set up, and your credentials will look trustworthy from the first one you issue.

1. Complete your issuer page

Add your logo, a short description of your organisation and a link to your website. See Adding your logo, description and links to your issuer page.

2. Link your social media profiles

3. Connect LinkedIn

Add your LinkedIn organisation ID, so credentials added to recipients' profiles link to your company page. See LinkedIn organisation ID.

You can also set the default text recipients see when they share to their LinkedIn feed. See How to modify the Share to LinkedIn feed text.

4. Become a Verified Issuer

Verification shows recipients and employers that your organisation has been confirmed by Certify. See What is a Verified Issuer and how to get it.

5. Invite your team

Give colleagues their own logins rather than sharing one. See How to manage team members.

6. Turn on two-factor authentication

Protect your account, and the credentials you issue from it. See Two factor authentication (2FA).

7. Decide what is public

Choose whether your credentials and recipients are listed on your issuer page. See How do I keep credentials and recipients private on my issuer page?
