Why your digital badge shows as "Blockchain pending"
What "Blockchain pending" means, how long it takes, and what to do if it doesn't clear.

Every Certify credential is recorded on a blockchain, which makes it very hard to fake or alter. "Blockchain pending" simply means that record hasn't been confirmed yet.
Is my credential valid while it's pending?
Yes. Your credential has been issued and you can view it as normal. The pending label disappears once the blockchain record is confirmed.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours.
Why does it sometimes take longer?
A blockchain is run by a network of computers rather than by one company. New records are confirmed in batches, and when the network is busy, for example when many credentials are issued at once, each confirmation can take longer. That wait is part of what makes the record so secure.
